"The temple is of Vijayanagara architectural style and was built in the 16th century. The presiding deity is Veerabhadra. The intricate mandapams of the temple has large pillars with life-size images of dancers, musicians and other sculptures, created by the artisans of the Vijayanagar empire. A huge granite Nandi bull, carved out of a single stone is also present near the temple. The ceilings are decorated by mural paintings."
