Jari is a very small city in Jammu and Kashmir and a part of the Jammu area. Naturally, being a part of this heavenly land, this is one small place which is nedted right in the place of the great Himalayas and enjoys all the natural splendour of a land which is coveted by so many. Jari is a a very small part of this big state, yet it holds al te charm and beauty that one associated with Jammu and Lashmir. And the great peaks of Himalaya make the perfect skyline for this small city trying its hand in modernisation. For tourists this is a city which is just a stioover. The main place to visit from jari is either the city of jammu or Vaishnodevi. Jammu is the land of temples with the many shikaras dotting the skyline of the city. The winrter capital of Jammu and Kasmir, this is one place in the statewhich is actually extremely progressive and is trying to give the whole state a new lease of life. The biggest attraction here of couse is the famed Vaishno Devi mandir. The town of Katra, very close to Jammu is where this shrine is. A climb of 1700m ensured that you reach the temple where the shrines are kept in a cave. This is a shine of the Mother Goddess and is thronged by devotees year after year. Maybe one of the obscure destinations which are hardly mentioned, yet Jari is a place which is unspoilt by an avalanche of tourist and will definitely make a perfect getaway when you want to escape and want no one to find you.
