Vagamon is a paradise in the Gods own country. Even among the most beautiful places in Kerala there are only very few which can compete with Vagamon. This is a place which has the perfect climate throughout the year and verdant greenery that surrounds every part of it to make it a vision to look at. There is no one who will go to Vagamon and not feel like they are in the lap of Mother Nature. This is the place which will truly take your worries away from you by making you breathe in true beauty. Vagamon is at the fringe of the Western Ghats and the foot hills on its lower side reach up to Teekoy with a gradual descent. This narrow strip of descending land gives a vital connectivity to the plains as both sides of vagamon up to kuttikkanam on the south west and moolamattom on the north east, are marked by steep and inaccessible hill slopes. Traveling by the hill highway in this section is an exhilarating experience with deep valleys and magnificent views all around. Vagamon presents very spectacular views with an ethereal touch. This is truly one of the must see places in the country and will definitely need to be visited. Kurisumala means 'Mountain of the holy cross'. Kurisumala monastery situated on the Kurisumala hill, is a famous pilgrimage center for the Nazrani Catholics where cross put-up in each sub hill stations. The nearby Kurisumala Ashram is an abode of calm and spiritual delight. The Indo Swiss Project dairy farms are also some delightful places to visit here which is maintained by the monks. This is of course a place of hills and meadows and there will be no place here which will not stun you with its beauty.
