Dhule
Dhule , Maharashtra
Dhule is a municipality in the north of Maharashtra bound by Gujarat as one of its borders. Dhule was a well planned city even before India became independent. This is one of the cities our country is proud of as it balances urbanisation and modernisation very well with being attached to its roots. As Dhule was one of the British cantonment town, there are many structures here which boast of being very well built and structured. Thid place bears some of the colonialism but only the best part of it.
In heyday it was one of the big centers for textile industry, with both spinning and weaving operations. Textile industry is still alive here though at much smaller scale than past. Many small scale industries are shaping up in M.I.D.C. area. This is one of the places which is developing fast and picking up pace once again to be part of a shining India. Industrialisation is entering this place with a vengeance and all the structures in and around this city is being built for this very purpose. One of the cities which has not yet realised its vast potential, Dhule is being explored by invertors and given a chance to start flourishing.
The Dhule District is a part of Maharashtra's historical region of Khandesh. One of the places which have even ruled by great rulers right from mythology, from the Yadavas to the Mughals, this is a place which is steeped in history. Thus this is one place with the forts and the palaces as opposed to the colonial buildings and now the emerging skyscrapers that will make you want to truly be a part of this very intriguing city.
