Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad , Uttar Pradesh

Ghaziabad is a planned industrial city and the gateway to Uttar Pradesh. This is the absolute epitome of what industrialiation really looks like. Initially a part of the Meerut district now it is a different district. It has industries that maintain electric locomotive & EMU Trains, manufacture railway Wagons, bicycles, tapestries, glassware, pottery, paint and varnish, heavy chains, etc. Also it has Bharat Electronics Limited for manufacturing defence products. This is just to let you know that Ghaziabad is all about rampant industrialization and modernisation though there is a very rich history that is attached to it. Archaeologically, theologically and historically Ghaziabad has always been an extremely prosperous city. It is following its legacy and today is one of the main contributers towards industrialism in India. Garhmukteshwar which provides salvation to the people and the Pooth village situated on the banks of river Ganges are associated with the Mahabharat period. The Loni fort is associated with Lavanasura of the Ramayana period. Thus it can be seen that even the ancient history has a part to play in Ghaziabad. After that there is documented informations of the Guptas and the Tughlaq ruling this place. Ghaziabad boasts of some of the greatest rulers of all times. Today Ghaziabad is the part of the modern India. It is one of the reasons that we claim proudly that India is shining. Ghaziabad is a planned city sharing its boundaries with the capital of the country. Even though very little of the past remains in the city, what remains is the legacy of prosperity which has so well served this city.
